摘要

The field experiment was conducted to study the effect of plant density and fertility levels on productivity of sorghum during two consecutive kharif seasons of 2002 and 2003. Results revealed that the plant density of 2.2 lakh plants/ha recorded significantly higher grain yield, biological yield and net returns over 1.50 and 2.90 lakh plants/ha. Application of 100% RDF along with 25 kg ZnSO4 recorded significantly higher yield attributes and yield of sorghum over 75% RDF. Application of 100% RDF+25 kg ZnSO4/ha recorded 21.40, 9.99 and 18.53% higher grain, fodder yields and net returns over 75% RDF alone.
