摘要

Sorghum is an important crop of semi-arid tropics and is a staple food in many parts of the world. With the decreasing areas under sorghum cultivation, it has become important to increase the productivity of the crop. To sustain the sorghum productivity, it is essential to fertilize the crop properly for realizing the high yielding potential of newly evolved hybrids. Nitrogen and phosphorus influence sorghum yield to a substantial level. The hybrids also differ for nutrient uptake. Recently many hybrids of sorghum have been evolved with high production potential than the existing cultivars. Therefore, an effort has been made to study the influence of different levels of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization on uptake of these nutrient by differentsorghum hybrids.
