Studies on Associationship among Yield Attributes within Inbreds and Hybrids of Castor

Present studies undertaken to assess the degree of association of certain plant characters with yield revealed that the yield of castor was correlated positively with length of main raceme, length of pistillate region of the raceme and total number ofcapsules per plant, whereas it was negatively associated with duration of the crop and number of nodes on the main stem. Within the F,s, yield was correlated positively with number of branches, length of main raceme and total number of capsules per plant but negatively with duration for first flowering, height of main stem and number of nodes on the main stem.
