A pot experiment was conducted on the loamy sand soil with five types of Ca/B ratios (R_1-100, R_2-200, R_3-400, R_4-600 and R_5-800) with different qualities of irrigation water to study their effect on soil properties, grain and straw yield of barley. ECe, SAR, ESP and boron content of soil increased while grain and straw yield decreased with an increase in Adj. SAR and EC of irrigation water. The pH of soil decreased significantly with an increase in salt concentration of irrigation water but increased with increase in Adj. SAR of water. Grain and straw yields increased upto Ca/B ratio of 600 in irrigation water, but decreased at higher level. Ca/B ratio of 600 was found to be optimum for better barley yield.
