摘要

Current efforts of remote sensing applications in agriculture include soil moisture estimation. In Goradu soils of middle Gujarat region, the soil moisture content of the surface (0-2 cm) and seeding zone (0-7.5 cm) soil layers and soil surface temperature, sensed by Infrared Thermometer, were found to be closely related. Inverse relations were developed between soil moisture and surface temperature, which estimated the soil moisture content in both the layers accurately.
