Samsung and Xiaomi lay foundation for mid-range smartphone growth

In March 2021, Samsung and Xiaomi released smartphones models to replace the previous device generation, which accounted for 22% of the two companies’ total shipments in 2020. The latest device generation is targeted at further growing shipments in the mid- range price segment for both OEMs as the smartphone market recovers in 2021.
