PSLV Success: A Boost To ISRO

After the failure of GSLV, the success of the PSLV is a shot in the arm for ISRO. Naturally the ISRO team led by the chairman is ecstatic. Now he is looking at its second lunar mission Chandrayaan II. The successful orbiting of five satellites in on-go by India's reliable, four stage space workhorse PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) on the clear morning of July 12 has lifted the morale of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) which had suffered a setback earlier in mid April when its three stage Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) featuring a home-grown cryogenic engine had met with a failure.
