NEXT GENERATION AIRBORNE SATCON TERMINAL LAUNCHED

Astrium, a fully owned subsidiary of the European aerospace and defence consortium EADS, launched its compact, lightweight and secure airborne terminal named AirPatrol today. Aidan Joy, Director of Secure Satcom Systems of Astrium informed that this high performance, ruggedised communications module is fully well equipped to operate efficiently even under most demanding and hostile conditions. He revealed that during the design and development phase of AirPatrol, a number of unique challenges were met to equip AirPatrol, with innovative technological features designed to help it work under harsh enviornment.
