Delay Could Hit Saras

The 75-page report covering the investigation into the crash of the Prototype II version of the Indian light transport aircraft Saras in March 2009 on the outskirts of Bangalore, resulting in the death of three crew members onboard has blamed design flaws and human error for this fatal accident. The report released by the state-owned civil aviation regulator DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) while not hinting at any problems with engine or turbine has clearly indicated several design changes would need to be made to ensure the safety of the aircraft.
