The Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) programme has entered a stage of negotiations for engine replacements. The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) is set to choose the engine that will replace the F404 engines by General Electric that currently power the Mark II variant of the Tejas. Eurojet Turbo Gmbh and General Electric Aviation are the two companies that have been shortlisted for the contract that will see 99 engines brought in.
