Machining centers allow complete machining on five or six sides of intricate components due to thegreat variety of tools available. Their driving power can be substantially higher than e.g. forcomparable lathes with tools being driven additionally. Furthermore, the possibility of working frombars also provides for economical efficiency of very small batch sizes.
