CCG is told it can't pull ￡600 000 from children's respite centre

Parents have won a High Court ruling to stop a CCG withdrawing funding from a respite centre for children with complex medical needs. Mr Justice Mostyn quashed a decision by Hertfordshire Valleys CCG to withdraw the annual ￡600 000 funding necessary to keep Watford's Nascot Lawn centre open and ordered it carry out a formal consultation. The CCG has been placed in financial turnaround-at risk of not meeting its financial plans-and has to make savings of ￡47m. The legal challenge was brought by three children who use the centre for respite care, represented by their mothers.
