Clinical course of untreated cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 under active surveillance

Study question What are the regression, persistence, and progression rates of untreated cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 (CIN2) lesions and compliance with active surveillance? Methods The authors conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of all studies reporting on outcomes of untreated histologically confirmed CIN2, managed conservatively for at least three months. They calculated the rates of regression, persistence, or progression and compliance at six different follow-up time points between three and 60 months.
