Africa Oil's seismic leads to drilling in East Africa

AFRICA OIL CONTINUES its exploration drive in East Africa and is currently lining up its work Programme for the rest of 2011. In Kenya, the Company is currently undertaking full tensor gravity surveys and finalising the prospect and lead inventory on Block 10BB. Drilling on this block is scheduled to commence in Q3. On Kenya's Block 9, the Company is running a 750 km 2D seismic survey focused on the oil prone Kaisut sub-basin on the block. The seismic crew has recently commenced recording and it is anticipated to be completed during Q3. Also in Kenya on Block 10A, Africa Oil and its partners have completed recording approximately 800 km of 2D seismic. Seismic data acquired is currently being processed and drilling on this block is expected in Q4.
