Traditional machining methods, such as conventional grinding, have been optimised to such an extent that their potential for innovation is largely exhausted. Modern methods such as hard turning or grinding with CBN still suffer from disadvantages in terms of processing reliability and investment costs. Combined processing compensates for the drawbacks of individual processes and, in so doing, achieves significantly improved productivity.
