《who is actually hurting whom?》 - a justifiable question if, as was formerly practised in industry, attempts are made to condition diamond grinding wheels with the aid of softer SiC wheels. The conditioning of ceramically bonded diamond grinding wheels with rotating diamond tools promises greater efficiency. From the standpoint of quality, practical tests confirm known interrelationships from the dressing of other cutting materials. It is now important to optimise grinding wheels and forming rollers relative to their intended applications and to formulate appropriate dressing strategies.
