Some permineralized plant fossils from the Early Cretaceous sediments of Rajmahal Hills, Jharkhand,India

摘要

Some permineralized plant fossils are being described here. These fossils were studied in thin sections of Early Cretaceous cherts collected from Nipania, Amarjola and Chilgujari localities in the Rajmahal Hills, Jharkhand. The plant fossils are assigned to lichens,Marchantiales thallus, lycopodaceous ligule, equisetalean stem sheath, filician rhizomes, gymnosperm seed and Ptilophyllum rachis.
