Ndian 2020 steel demand to reverse growth: iSa

The Indian Steel Association (ISA) is now forecasting a 7.7pc drop in 2020 steel demand against a year earlier to 93.7mn t because of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown restrictions affecting steel consumption. ISA previously projected in February India's 2020 steel demand to rise by 5.1pc to 106.7mn t from an estimated 101.5mn in 2019.
