China bulk alloys: Prices rise on tight supply

Prices of ferro-chrome, ferro-manganese and ferro-silicon have increased because of tight alloy supply in the past two days. Argus assessed the range for 50pc grade alloy higher at 5,900-6,100 yuan/t ($903-933/t) ex-works today, from Yn5,850-6,050/t ex-works on 22 December, in line with tighter spot supplies and higher purchase prices paid by major steel mills.
