Governor of New York Proposes Tax Credit for 'Green' Buildings; New York City Authority Seeks Builder for Eco-Friendly High-Rise
New York Governor George Pataki and New York City's Battery Park City Authority may give us two more reasons to love New York. Pataki's proposed tax credit would become effective on January 1, 2001, and would provide up to $25 million in tax savings over the life of the program. The measure would promote improved environmental standards, increase energy efficiency, and is geared to increase awareness of new and emerging technologies that can improve the quality of indoor environments for residents and employees.
