Europe Cu: Birch/Cliff discount spread tightens

Discount spreads for Birch/Cliff copper scrap in Europe tight- ened over the past week, while other scrap discount spreads were unchanged as the market remained amply supplied. Argus assessed the weekly delivered Europe #2 (Birch/ Cliff) cash spread at 86-87pc of the London Metal Exchange (LME) copper price on 27 October, tightening from 85-87pc in the last assessment on 20 October.
