India’s OMC raises chrome ore tender prices

Indian state-controlled mining firm OMC has increased the base prices in its March chrome ore tender by 23pc from February on higher alloy demand and tight supply. OMC has raised the base price for 48.00-49.99pc-grade ore from its South Kaliapani mines to 22,140 rupees/t ($303.66/t), from Rs17,955/t in February’s tender. It has also increased the base price for 50.00-51.99pc ore from its Sukrangi mines to Rs23,063/t from Rs18,703/t.
