Element 25 to start manganese production in March

Australia’s Element 25 (E25) is on track to start manganese production at its Butcherbird project in northwest Australia from the first half of March, with first ore processing scheduled for 16 March. The project has a mineral resource of more than 263mn t. A pre-feasibility study of the site in May last year found 50.6mn t of proved and probable ore reserves, estimated to contain 5.2mn t of manganese ore. Dry commissioning will begin in the first half of next month followed by wet commissioning in the second.
