摘要

Lightning protection is an issue for temporary overhead cables installed on overhead transmission lines. Existing line surge arresters for overhead transmission line are not expected to provide sufficient lightning protection performance due to the air-gap discharge delay. Accordingly, a gapless arrester has been developed to protect temporary overhead cables. This paper reports on the results of development tests and experimental constructions.
