Direct Phase-Transition Catalysed Monohalogenation of 8-Amidoquinolines at C5 Position in Water

摘要

A novel protocol for the direct halogenation of 8-amidoquino-line derivatives with phase-transition was reported. The reactions were promoted by benzyltriethylammonium chloride and dihalogenated hydantoin, using exclusively water as the solvent and achieving the C5-halogenation products of amidoquinolines in moderated to excellent yields at room temperature.
