Diesel engine designing on performance

摘要

Diesel engine is the major power train for commercial vehicles. One of the advantages of diesel engine is fuel consumption, therefore it can contribute to control the global warming by low level CO{sub}2 emission, while it is still necessary to reduce NO{sub}x and PM emissions. This manuscript shows the current situation of diesel engine designing on performance, exhaust emission and so on, with examples from production engines.
