The Landscape of ChemistrySelect in 2022

Happy new year and welcome to the 250th issue of ChemistrySelect.Every major scientific breakthrough is built on the back of innumerous prior efforts.Progress can often be slow and even long-term projects can result in incremental or even negative results.Yet,such experiments form the backbone of scientific progress,and as such they should be documentedto prevent other researchers going down the same dead ends.At ChemistrySelect and our sister journal ChemistryOpen(see also the editorial by F.R.Novara,ChemistryOpen 2022,11,e202100270),we welcome the submission of all original good-quality science regardless of the degree of novelty.We are interested in all details that complete the research landscape(Figure 1).
