Halliburton backs reservoir focus

With easy to recover oil reserves disappearing fast and the price of crude sinking, the key for oil and gas operators today is about reducing reservoir uncertainty while at the same time lowering costs, Mike Navarette, senior director with oil field services giant Halliburton, told the OSEA conference in Singapore. He said Halliburton is developing its key technology strategies around three main areas: unconventionals, mature fields and deepwater. "By focusing on these areas we are able to tailor technology development to the areas that are most important to our customers.
