Liquid-gas injection engine tested

A successful test-run of MAN Diesel & Turbo's liquid gas injection engine (LGI) has been carried out at a plant in Japan. The demonstration of the engine -the first to be commercially produced -took place at Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES) Tamano works. Designated the 7S50ME-B9.3-LGI, it is bound for a vessel currently under construction by Minami-Nippon Shipbuilding for Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL).
