Retirement is seen as the opportunity for people to pursue their passions. This has certainly proven so for Robert Johnston, who took the opportunity on leaving the corporate existence of maritime insurance at QBE to channel his energies into his long-term vision, which was to establish an insurance product enabling employers to offer meaningful personal insurance to seafarers . "Although I retired in 2011,1 didn't want to stop working and so got involved in two distinct projects, the first of which was to set up Crewsure and the other to consult for Skuld (another P&I club)," he says, adding that his work with the latter focuses on insuring superyachts.
