Commission consults on EU food waste reduction targets

The European Commission is considering setting EU targets for the reduction of food waste as part of a future revision of the Waste Framework Directive and on 24 May launched a public consultation. The consultation, which runs until 16 August, involves a detailed questionnaire looking at different policy options for the revision of the directive, including a section on food waste.
