Specialist food makers call for FOP label waiver, status quo on origin and date marking

Infant formula, food for special medical purposes (FSMP) and total diet replacement products should have a waiver from the future EU mandatory front-of-pack (FOP) nutrition label, producer organisation Specialised Nutrition Europe (SNE) says in its 19 January submission to the European Commission’s inception impact assessment on labelling and nutrient profiles (NP).
