Iowa Senators press Biden on China, including Phase One follow-up trade deal, pursuing CPTPP

Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst are urging President Joe Biden to pursue a follow-up agreement with China that includes provisions to help make up for its purchase commitment shortfalls under the Phase One trade deal and said the administration should look to counter Chinese influence in the Indo-Pacific by considering US reentry to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
