The WTIF BioPathways Partnership Project AUSTRALIAN PAPER PARTNERS WITH TAFE AND THE VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT TO PREPARE FOR BIO-MANUFACTURING
A partnership of TAFE Gippsland, Federation University and Australian Paper has been formed and is being supported with project funding from the Victorian State Government's 'Workforce Training Innovation Fund' (WTIF). The project goal is to support the development of vocational training in the emerging industry area of bio-manufacturing within the Gippsland region. The key outcome of this project is the development of introductory courses into Bio-manufacturing and Certificate III, IV and Diploma in Bio-manufacturing. These courses will be supported by a research program in partnership with Federation University which will see Master's Degree students undertaking research programs at Australian Paper's Maryvale Mill. The project will also see the establishment of a teaching facility at TAFE Gippsland's Yalloum campus.
