Meat consumption appears to be peaking in many developed countries, with beef taking the biggest hit in demand. A study from the Curtin University Sustainable Policy (CUSP) Institute in Australia investigated whether meat consumption grows as income increases and found that demand appears to peak in countries when they reach a certain level of gross domestic product (GDP).
