The Capesize (180k dwt) 5 TC average climbed$1,958/d higher in the past week to $11,856/d,although it remains down on the start of May.Gains were primarily driven by the fronthaulmarket where earnings increased on the backof tighter vessel supply in Brazil for early-Juneloading dates, coupled with fronthaul mineralchartering in the north Atlantic.The fronthaul rate (180k dwt) rose by $4,582/dweek-on-week to $25,500/d, the highest levelsince January.
