China's congress hears call for met coal imports

A ramp-up in metallurgical coal imports and rolling back of port delays has been called for by two members of China's legislative body, the National People's Congress, during the congress gathering this week. Yang Gengbao, an official from Shagang Group, and Yuan Weixiao, from China Baowu Group, told a congress meeting that Beijing needs to loosen up the current curbs on premium quality seaborne coking coal, local media reported.
