Most farm locations lend themselves to the retailing of products which require sufficient space to be presented effectively. They are particularly suited to the display of large sculptures. At the beginning of June 2004, an unusual farm attraction will open in the Lake District. It is a 1.5-mile sculpture trail at High Head Farm, near Ivegill, which lies between Penrith and Carlisle. The 100,000 pound project is the work of farmer and artist Jonathan Stamper, who has secured a 7,500 pound grant fromthe North West Farm Tourism Initiative.
