Ukrainian scrap market

Ukraine keeps looking for the ways to increase scrap collection and unshadow the scrap market. The Verkhovna Rada Committee passed the first reading of the corresponding law, but it is still difficult to estimate the actual influence this law will have on the market. Meanwhile, export duty will remain effective in the forecast period restraining exports and urging scrap collectors to start discussing the introduction of a formula-based approach of setting the duty.
