In 2019, pig iron exports from Russia will decrease due to the launch of steelmaking production at Tulachermet, repair of BF No.6 (130 days) at NLMK and the stoppage of pig iron production at Kosaya Gora Iron Works. Ukraine is expected to raise exports from Metinvest and ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. As a result, the total share of Russia and Ukraine in global pig iron exports will inch down to 57%.
