Coking coal

Coking coal consumption has moderately decreased in late 2011-early 2012,to 115,000 tpd, which is 4% lower than the average figure last year. Demandis expected to improve in March-April which will entail a rise in consumption. In2011, coal consumption grew by 2% to 43.5 mt, the share of fat coal reaching49%, up from 47% in 2011. Moving at the same pace as last year, coalconsumption will add 4% in 2012 gradually rising in Q1-2, slightly decreasingin Q3 and most likely recovering in Q4.
