The long-term handling and transportation contracts signed with Yuzhny port and Ukrzaliznytsya have contributed to improvements in the iron ore logistics and external shipments. However, exports of sintering ore and concentrate are expected to drop from last year's record highs. At the same time, exports of sinter and pellets will rise thanks to the upgrade of equipment at Severny GO K and Ferrexpo assets as well as rebound of global demand. In the meantime, the Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian Parliament) has passed in the first reading the law, which includes amendments to the rent payment procedure. According to the law, taxation will be based on IODE X Fе 62% CFR China instead of IODE X Fе 58% CFR China. At the index below $100/t, the tax will amount to 3.5%, at $100?200/t - 5%, over $200/t - 10%. Besides, several draft laws on excessive profit from raw materials export were submitted to the Parliament.
