UKRAINIAN IRON ORE MARKET

Despite the recovery of operations at DMKD, the free iron ore market in Ukraine will remain quite narrow. Growing demand for iron ore on the back of an expected increase in pig iron production in the country will be mainly covered by in-house supplies; imports are unlikely. GOKs will strive to further raise exports, those of high-quality material as well, but the volumes will depend on global demand and the situation with railway vehicles to ship the material.
