Venice Energy Likely to Sign FSRU Charter Deal Shortly

Australia’s Venice Energy is likely to sign a time charter deal for a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) shortly. The company, which started an international FSRU tender last December, picked a European LNG shipowner as a potential contract partner to charter an FSRU to start importing LNG at the Port of Adelaide in Australia in 2022. The company announced it has completed processes of the FSRU tender and would sign a fully formed time charter deal in the coming weeks. Venice Energy is advancing an LNG import project “Outer Harbor Project” at the Port of Adelaide and its FSRU tender was participated by six companies.
