ENEOS eyes bioethanol from wastepaper for bio gasoline, jet fuel, naphtha output

ENEOS, Japan's largest refiner, and Toppan Printing will work to develop bioethanol from wastepaper and commercialize it after fiscal 2027-28 (April-March), with an eye to make feedstock for bio gasoline, jet fuel and naphtha production. Under the joint project announced June 14, ENEOS and Toppan will use wastepaper, considered difficult but to burn, from Toppan, local governments and other companies as raw materials for producing bioethanol.
