Japan’s crude oil imports from the UAE increased 24.3% year on year and 75.6% month on month to 1.04 million b/d in April, overtaking Saudi Arabia as the largest crude supplier for the month, preliminary data released by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed. April refinery feedstock shipments from the UAE rose sharply as Japan nearly doubled its Murban crude imports from 345,908 b/d a year ago to 660,032 b/d, and more than doubled the 267,400 b/d received in March.
