Low-carbon P1020 remains at parity with standard in Europe

Low-carbon aluminum continues to be sold at the same level as standard aluminum in the European spot market. Market sources remained positive about the development of a premium for low-carbon P1020 but have told Platts that in this period of market tightness and high premiums, customers remain focused on securing metal. The S&P Global Platts Low-Carbon Aluminum Price for duty-unpaid and duty-paid P1020 was assessed at a premium to London Metal Exchange cash of $190-$200/mt and $220-$240/mt, in-warehouse Rotterdam, respectively, on April 23.
