Nouryon to'Spin-Out'Nobian Business; Will Create Two Separate Companies

Specialty chemicals company Nouryon said it plans to"spin-out"its base chemicals business,Nobian,into a separate company that will remain under the ownership of The Carlyle Group and GIC,Nouryon's equity owners.The separation,expected to be completed by early in the third quarter of this year,will result in two separate companies,each positioned for growth in their respective focus areas.The transaction is subject to receipt of all relevant approvals,including final board approval.
