Linde to Build Green Hydrogen Facility At Leuna Chem Complex in Germany

Leuna—Linde announced it will build, own and operate the "world's largest" proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer plant at the Leuna Chemical Complex in Germany for the production of green hydrogen. The new 24-megawatt electrolyzer will produce the green hydrogen to supply Linde's industrial customers through the company's existing pipeline network. It will also distribute liquefied green hydrogen to other customers in the region, as well as to refueling stations. Production is expected to begin in the second half of 2022.
