Equinor Resumes Methanol Production At Tieldbergodden Facility in Norway

Oslo—Equinor announced that its methanol plant is back in operation in Tjeldbergodden, Norway, after being decommissioned following a fire on 2 Dec. 2020 (PCN, 7 Dec 2020, p 3). The methanol plant, which the company said is the ''world's largest,'' has around 900,000 t/y of capacity. It is owned 82.01% by Equinor and 17.99% by ConocoPhillips Scandinavia.
